Rust Heap Bike project

June 30, 2010

From UNIV:

Introducing Rust Heap, a multi-brand collaboration BMX bike that was over a year in the making. Brought together by longtime BMX pro Mike Ardelean and Tim Swart of UNIV, the two friends connected their network of eight other friendly brands to build a customized project bike that’s just plain cool. The entire collaborative brand roster includes Verde, UNIV, Odyssey, Duo, Defgrip, Ludwig Van, G-Sport and The Laboratory.

Ludwig Van provided the custom pivitol seat cover for this project bike and it was all fun and games working with friends…more news on custom seat covers available for order later on…stay tuned.

We get letters. This was one that deserved a post on the blog…it made my day. Big ups to you guys, (Mas & Muhammad) and thanks for the support!

“Hi the Ludwig team,

The following attachment is that of me(Mas) applying the rear naked choke on a happy recipient of your product(my boyfriend, Muhammad). He’s a recent MMA fan convert partially because of the contents in your blog. Just one more thing, he reckons he’s Fedor but I think he’s more Roy Nelson!”

Peace,

Mas

Ludwig: “Madras” Seat Cover.

April 16, 2010

LUDWIG Introduces one of a kind, hand-made seat covers made for your “pivitol” and “turbo” style seats used on both BMX as well as Street fixies. The concept was to find a way to utilize and re-fashion deadstock LUDWIG t-shirts in a creative, original way. This particular seat cover features a waxed coated twill skirt, a black bungee style draw-cord and nylon matte black fastener. It is constructed with LUDWIG t-shirt styles: “GOGGLY” and “PLAYER” graphics.

The seat cover was assembled and sewn by Adem Niazi . The “Madras” style patchwork pattern was then attached to the bottom part of the skirt with a draw-cord channel inserted last, and a LUDWIG ” No.9″ twill label finishes the seat-cover off nicely.

One-of-a-kind seat covers can be made to order now and are available for purchase by sending an email request to: info@ludwigvantheman.com. The t-shirts used are ‘asst’, and the cost for each seat cover is $39.00 + S&H (Please specify either a “pivitol” or “turbo” seat style seat). Orders take 2 weeks to fill and come with a LUDWIG decal pack featuring 15 different decals.

Bike Check: MOSH Method / MOSH Parts painted by Heath Pinter.

Tok Dad

March 31, 2010

Hopefully sooner or later we will be bringing some LUDWIG x TOK DAD tee’s your way via Bill Tocco. Bill is somewhat of a cult-hero on the vert skating scene. Everybody remembers how he steam-rolled the competition during the Am Nationals at the Pride Pavillion in AZ. way back in the late 80’s on his way to becoming champion. All due to a sick work ethic! If we can get our act together you will be the first to know.
