Spike Jonze’s Where The Wild Things Are
This movie is bound to be epic. This is the most excited I’ve been for a movie for a long time.

As promised, we will have a small number of the limited edition Miles Davis t-shirts available for sale when we launch the LUDWIG SHOP in EARLY APRIL. Just in time for Spring, this t-shirt is truly a limited edition. The print is all original hand drawn art, and the t-shirt is endorsed by the Miles Davis estate in concert with the release of the 50th anniversary LP “Kind Of Blue”. Stay tuned, or sign up for the Ludwig Newsletter to be the first one on blast! Here are some teaser photos of what’s in store.

Sartre had it all figured out.

This is for the “more creative than thou” types.

Shout out to my friend Javier for taking the cake at the Tampa pro. Nollie frontside heel switch 5-0 across the box. Sickness.

Nothing better than soul. An often overlooked gem. William DeVaughn’s “Be Thankful For What You Got” says it all. Lets call this Mike’s Track of The Week-end. -enjoy.
This Year’s LA Market Week we here at LUDWIG are involved w/ a new unique tradeshow called, “Transmission”. This years attendees are: LUDWIG, 3Sixteen, GrnappleTree, Hysteric Glamour, Alex and Chloe and a few other amazing brands. Come by and check out the new Fall 09 Collection. .

Re-posted from TYPOGRAPHICAL, and Re-posted from 12oz. PROPHET. WILFRED LIMONIOUS has an amazing portfolio of record covers for your perusal here. Don’t normally post up too much about dance hall or reggae inspired themes, but this work cannot be faded. As I mentioned on the Typo-blog, I am sure we are going to see alot of crappy renditions of these illustrations end up on t-shirts as a result of this exposure…blah. KidRobot also has a good many links on this as well. -enjoy.

Spring 09 has dropped, and 80’s Purple is doing it with style. If you haven’t had the opportunity to check out the 80’s Purple site, do yourself a favor and give it a visit. They do a stellar job with the photographs and the merchandising so you are sure to find something you like.

If you have never been there, you should make it a point to visit Hakone while in Japan. It sits by lake Ashinoko, and it is a beautiful place to see. My friend Meri was just there and i poached these photos from here FB page. I remember visiting there and being blown away by the huge red ( torii gates ) they looked soo cool, and as you can see in these photos, really dramatic. Thanks Meri.
