Forty years ago, a derby-capped, Beethoven-loving English hoodlum smashed noggins with so much style that he set a new benchmark for psychopathic behavior. Celebrate the 40th Anniversary of “Clockwork Orange” by picking up one of THE LAST 10 PRINTS of this terrific LUDWIG VAN screen-print…and get your share of droog inspired, Hollywood-style depravity. A classic indeed.
Happy LUDWIG VAN customer Liam from the UK sent us this photo of his order – and was very happy. We wanted to share this with you.
I met Hide about a year ago by chance outside a Gardena noodle shop, since then we have been frequenting the Long Beach Cycle swap-meets together and soon are going to be riding once I finish my bike. Hide’s bike is a 1977 Harley Shovel Head, daily driver. Hide did the art on the tank, seat and pipe…it sports a 21″ front/ 19″rear. Tank was shortened and narrowed by Kiyo @ Garage Co. Frame is stock with modified struts. Front end is a WL style 74″ springer. Kickstart, Jockey Shift, Custom exhaust by Kiyo…this bike has a really nice stance!
Hide is a graphic designer for the magazine Lighthouse based in Torrance, CA. He’s been living in CA since 2003 and his favorite style of bike is the chopper/bobber as well as the stock 50′s era pans. He also drives a ’64 Ford Ranchero to get around and pick up bike parts with! Let’s ride Hide!
I received a copy of Theo Ehret’s book “Exquisite Mayhem” just by chance recently and was quite impressed by the sheer breadth of his photography. I met Theo about a year and a half ago and was instantly charmed by his “no-nonsense” old school German style personality. He has quite a sense of humor too (as you can see by the photos in his book!) We had planned to produce a project together. LUDWIG VAN would bring some of his most interesting photos of pro-wrestling superstars to life in the form of limited prints, t-shirts and posters…all signed by Theo. We’re talkin’ Andre The Giant, Hulk Hogan, Classy Freddie Blassie, The Mask, Inoki and the Iron Sheik just to name a few! It’s unfortunate that it will not materialize, but you can check his work in here. If you’re a fan of pro wrestling, you’ll be glad you did. Will post some more photos soon…enjoy.
Apparently Kanye West was spotted at the Cannes Film Festival sporting the much lauded LUDWIG VAN x Vault by VANS “Deadstock Canvas Project” – a collaboration of the highest caliber. Too bad they are all gone – for those who were lucky enough to get a pair, I’m sure they are happy. Check the post about it here.
He is sporting the “30′s Nostalgia” print…one of my favorite prints in the collaboration…good looking out Mr. West!
Look out for the limited edition LUDWIG VAN x QUINTIN: Mike Ardelean signature caps. This cap will exceed your expectations.
