A look at the decade.
I found this pictogram of the decade on a blog…can’t remember which one, but it was worth sharing. Happy New Year, – Enjoy.

A couple of days ago Mashkulture selected a Ludwig tee as one of their top 20 from 2009.
Check out their blog when you get a chance. Thanks to MASH KULTURE for all the support in 2009. Happy New Year!
Clips from an amazing book just released by Wil Haygood. An excellent illustration of just how amazing Sugar Ray Robinson was at boxing. He hung with the coolest cats in the 50′s and early 60′s, Ellington, Davis, Horne, Elvis…legendary status to be sure. For the npr story click here.
I recently checked out the Nike ‘Stages’ art exhibit and wanted to share some personal views of the work on display. In my mind there were only a few examples of fresh, exciting work out of the many ‘names’ involved. Here are a few.
Cai Guo-Qiang. Interesting technique, beautiful results.
Parla. Very rich, visual effect. Bridges the seemingly un-bridgable gap between cali-’graff’-y and fine-art.
Richard Prince. Always underrated, with a true pop-art inspired piece.
Unknown. My personal favorite.
As some of you may know, LUDWIG has opened Strong Sports MMA, a private MMA training facility at the KIM SING Theater in partnership with HCK and Inspirit. A couple weeks ago Frank Trigg kicked off a week long warm-up to his training camp for his upcoming date with Matt Serra. It was a fun week of good training with Kengo, Andy, Steve, Willard, and myself. We now have beginners MMA class on TUE & THURS nights from 7:30-9:00PM, stop by 716 N. Figueroa St. LA. CA. to get more info!
John Brady is member in good standing. Last night many of the regulars celebrated John’s 45th birthday at the final night of Firecracker in Chinatown’s Grand Star Jazz Bar. I stayed pretty sober so drunk texting was kept to a minimum. John is a great friend. I hope he made it home alive.

I was thinking of making a Happy Holidays postcard and sending it out, and then I received this postcard from Richie Knapp, featuring his wonderful photography…makes my life easier. Check out Richards photography here.
We are not ever there yet, and have already decided that the best cover of 2010 is the cover of LOVE mag featuring the ever more iconic Lara Stone. She has legs as long as the day, too bad we have to wait another couple of month’s before we see what’s inside!
