Name is Jeremy, Im the new intern here at Ludwig, things have been going great so far. Just letting you in on a big project we have going on here at the Kim Sing Theatre. The Ludwig Flagship/Pop-up store is under the works and will be opening on Monday June 1st at 720 North Figueroa Street Los Angeles, CA 90012. Come through and check out some gear. The store includes a whole wall dedicated to sale items in which you can get yourself 1 t-shirt for $15 or 2 t-shirts for $20. We will also be having a Grand Opening Party on June 4th, more on that to come. There will be an open bar (everyone loves free drinks) live musical entertainment and giveaways for the first 10 paying customers. Come out and have a good time.
Dam-Funk! – no samples – no loops, just pure DJ funkyness…the Electrifying Mojo would be proud. I come from way back in the funky days of Detroit 80′s funk, and I can tell you this, I’m backing “DF”, check it out here.
In celebration of Miles Davis’ birthday we invite you to visit the LUDWIG SHOP and pick up the Limited Edition 50th ‘Kind of Blue” anniversary T-shirt. This t-shirt was produced by LUDWIG and the Miles Davis Estate. They are going quick!
Harrison (DEFGRIP) sent over this link today. It’s a short they did this past weekend called “HEY-BOY“…it’s pretty funny. Harrison is quite a talented person, which is why he was instrumental in building the LUDWIG web-site. He also is the creative mind behind McNeil. I have been meaning to post an in-depth review of all things Def-Grip since I really think they do some fun, creative and original things with the site. I can appreciate the graphic design, the web-site, and especially the motion/film pieces that they are doing called the “Def Grip Originals”. Check it our for yourself, you will see what I’m talking about, they most DEF-inately have skillz, this is a good example.
Mungo Jerry is awesome. Ray Dorset’s sideburns alone make the band. I’m sure everyone has heard at least one of their songs over the years. They’ve been recording music for the past 37 years. Summer is coming up. This will be my anthem.
LUDWIG’s Summer ’09 is shipping this week to finer boutiques and shops around the globe. Keep your eye pinned for it, as there are some items that are perfect for summer, and all MADE IN USA. You just cant find this kind of stuff anywhere. Here are a few of my favorites. Full collection will be available here at LUDWIG Shop soon.

So, as a student at UCLA, I’m involved in a lot of different organizations on campus. One of the groups I am a part of is called Camp Kesem. Camp Kesem is a non profit organization that puts on a one week summer camp for kids whose parents have or have had cancer. Ludwig recently designed and sponsored our camp t shirts!
In order to actually send our 100 kids to camp, our organization needs to fundraise over $60,000. To do this, we throw a lot of different fundraising events, one of which is this Thursday. On May 21st, we are throwing our 2nd annual CABIN FEVER club event at Life on Wilshire. Life is located at 6311 Wilshire Blvd. The party starts at 9:30 and tickets are $10 at the door. All proceeds go to Camp Kesem at UCLA. We have some awesome raffle items including a signed deck by Rodney Mullen and performances by Jarell Perry and Adam Stern. Please come out and support!
Ronin Volume 1 – Empire of the Rising Sun. These video moc-doc-style movies are awesome. Check them out here. They are all made by Jeremy Witkowski, (lets hear it for the talented Polish out there!) hosted on his blog “genghiscon”
